Sol 495. Watney has 500 km left to the ascent vehicle in Schiaparelli crater. He got there on sol 505. Can you beat him?

In the air, gas tips the nose up and brake tips it down
Some climbs are too steep from a standstill: back off and take a run at them
Rocks hit fast and hard landings add up. At full damage something breaks, and fixing it takes two sols, the same as landing on the roof. Each night Watney fixes some of it
The battery charges overnight, and whenever you stand still in the sun. Flat out it's empty long before sunset
